Project aims.
In this brief, I am required to create a series of pictures aligned to a chosen concept of my own, the point of the project is to create a scene that portrays a story alongside a chosen genre to allow the viewer to imagine the concept whilst interpreting the scene visually. The concept can be aligned to any genre and be about anything as long as the visual representation of your scene is cohesive with the imagery that you portray. There need to be at least 4 photo graphical scenes each following your genre. To create these scenes we need to use toys as the main characters replacing the use of people in the photography, the scene should be well thought out and dynamic and make use of composition and photographic techniques.
Photography concept.
The concept is about a farmer noticing his crops aren’t growing, he is there late one night and notices a glowing off in the distance and a weird floating green light coming from his fields, he decides to spend the night investigating, later he sees the glowing and decides to investigate but sees a UFO and runs as the UFO takes off, the next day his cows are acting strange and when he locks up for the night they where all watching him, he arrives the next morning to find that his cows are sitting around a table in the barn and where incepted by aliens and the alien cows where using his crop to make weird alien soup.
Project rationale
My photography project shows a farmer walking out in his crop field after seeing a mysterious green light in the distance only to find something that shocks him,I achieved the outcomes by using a miniature scene and toys with random objects as the subject,foreground and background of the scene. The lighting was achieved by using a green light to illuminate the scene and was shot in a dark room ,the compositions that I used created a focus on the main subject and allowed for a mood to be gathered by the viewer. Fine tuning of the scene such as light exposure and noise correction was done afterwards in Photoshop which made all of the scenes cohesive. The final imagery portrays my concept well and allows for the viewer to gain an understanding of the scene visually as the main ideas in the scene, and how they are shown is clear and concise.
